Recently, SHOU received an award certificate from the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week. SHOU was given the Brand Project Contribution Award in 2022 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week.
From November 26 to December 4, 2022, SHOU was invited to attend the “Food Culture, Food Nutrition, and Health” event of 2022 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week sponsored by the Organizing Committee of the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, undertaken by Raman University in Malaysia, and co-organized by SHOU and Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Also invited to attend the opening ceremony were Wan Rong, President of SHOU; Zhu Zhanghua, Dean of the College of International Cultural Exchange; You Luquan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Food Science and Technology; Zhao Yong, Deputy Dean of the College of Food Science and Technology. Four teachers, Jiao Yang, Ding Zhaoyang, Zhang Zhaohuan, and Shi Hu, gave special theme presentations.
Since its establishment 16 years ago, the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week mechanism has achieved fruitful results in terms of talent exchanges, education exchanges, and scientific research collaboration, emerging as the most representative intergovernmental education cooperation platform between the two sides. At the event, guests from China, ASEAN countries, and the specially invited partner countries along the “Belt and Road” jointly explored new ways of cooperation for the sustainable development of education online and offline, aiming to build a closer China-ASEAN educational community. As one of the first batch of China’s “Double First-class” universities, SHOU will continue to uphold the spirits of equality and mutual trust, openness and innovation, mutual learning, and win-win cooperation, and constantly inject new strength into the construction of a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
